Every Vemora Art piece begins not with paint, but with a feeling. A mood. A memory. An image that refuses to leave.
The process is deliberate and unhurried. First comes research — studying light, form, and the cultural histories that inform each subject. Then comes the sketch, often reworked many times before a single stroke of paint touches the canvas.
We work primarily in acrylics and mixed media, layering textures to create depth that photographs can only begin to capture. The gold tones in our work are not an accident — they are a reference to West African artistic traditions, to Byzantine iconography, to the way light falls on skin at golden hour.
Each piece takes weeks. Sometimes months. We do not rush the work, because we believe that the time and intention put into a painting becomes part of the painting itself — something a collector can feel when they live with it.
